DAVID SCULPHER

"NOVEMBER"

It has been some time since David's homepage was updated and many things have happened in the meantime.
First of all David wants to thank you all for the positive messages and kind words people have expressed about his homepage. He is very glad to be finally on the net for all the world to see and his homepage will be much more interactive with dates of upcoming events of his work and messages from David himself as well.
The most recent of the events in Tokyo Japan was at the Big Site in October which drew much praise all around and a short feature on a national TV broadcast. It appears the Japanese appreciate the nuance David brings accross of the Victorian era and unique atmosphere of the realism aspect in his models.
For the latest event in Tokyo Big Site David also added his most recent work of the standing Tudar House. This amazing new model adds the aspect of being able to be viewed from all sides in a 360 degree perspective. Again the atmosphere of the real historic English sense comes out in this model as well as the country side feeling that surround the model right down to the chickens in the back yard. One of the most difficult points of the model was the electrics for the lights. The model needed a base to fit the transistors and wiring but as you can see in the pictures, this has been very well adapted in the model itself as a slope molding into the lower area at the back of the house.

David always slightly adjusts while making the actual model although the initial plan remains in his mind.

The next event to see David's work in Japan will be in Osaka in January 22-27, 2009 at Moriguchi-Ten, Keihan-Hyakkaten. David hopes the people of the Kansai area will come to see his work at the exhibition and enjoy his unique ambience of old London.
